What changes in 2026
After several years of very high skin fades and gel-sculpted tops, demand is swinging toward cuts that move: softer sides, textured tops, matte finishes. The low taper replaces the high fade as the default starting point because it ages better between appointments and suits almost every head shape.
In Montreal that trend meets a practical reality: in winter a skin fade needs a visit every two weeks; a taper holds four to five weeks under a tuque.

The 70s mop and the flow: who it is for

The soft mullet, 2026 version

Beards: shorter, better shaped

What does not change
